    The Maine State Society C.A.R. salutes and honors the men and women serving in the American Armed Forces.

    We thank you for your service, and for those who are deployed, we pray for your safe return home.

     

     On Tuesday, November 5, Capt. Adam Cote was honored by the White House as one of twelve veterans from across the country who are “Champions of Change.” The honor celebrates American veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan who doing extraordinary work to advance clean energy and increase climate resilience and preparedness in their communities. Cote is a veteran with service in Bosnia and Iraq, is currently deployed to Afghanistan as Company Commander of the Maine Army National Guard 133rd Engineering Battalion’s Task Force Black Bear. The White House arranged for Cote to join the event briefly via video.
