Maine C.A.R. members make up seven Local Societies across the state.  State Officers conduct activities for members to introduce National and State projects and programs to local society members during the year.

    Annual activities include:

State Conference -- Members attending State Conference will learn about the activities of C.A.R. throughout Maine, and hear how Maine members can interact with the National Society.  Each Society's President will present a brief report on society activities, and a new State Board is elected each year.

Regional Meeting / "Tour" --  The Maine State Society is part of the New England Region of the National Society.  In 2012, Maine hosted a very successful New England Regional Meeting. All Members and prospective members can attend this meeting to watch the National Board's skits and presentations about the year's National Program.

State Program Packet Meeting -- The State Society hosts a Program Packet meeting to introduce the National Program and all State activities to local Society members and prospective members. Members meet friends from across the state and learn about the work of C.A.R.

National Convention -- The annual National Convention is held in Arlington, Virginia in April.  Members hear about activities of the State Societies and meet friends from across the country!  Delegates from each local society vote for the National Board members and enjoy social events such as the Candidates' Party, the banquet and a dance. Another highlight of Convention is the annual "Pilgrimage," which includes the installation of National Officers, Senior National Officers, and a Memorial Service.  Following the Memorial Service, a wreath laying is conducted at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier of the American Revolution in Alexandria, Virginia.
